"The Rose" describes seven domains that exist in all functioning societies: production, technology, aesthetics, power, knowledge, narratives and ethics. When it is called the Rose of Formation and not the Rose of Society, it is because formation is about the extent to which one can understand and live meaningfully in the society one finds oneself in. Through understanding the seven domains, and through seeing oneself or e.g. your organization in relation to the seven domains, it becomes possible to consider whether you have the necessary knowledge to live the way you want. Living meaningfully is not only about knowledge, but also about how you relate to the world with the knowledge you have and how you choose to be. Who am I and am I who I should be? With the Rose of Formation as a starting point, it becomes possible to reflect coherently on these questions, both as an individual, as an organization and as a society. Lene introduces the Rose of Formation and gives you a new view of yourself and the world - as well as food for thought. The lecture is incl. Q&A.
