Yael Bassan is from 1990, director and owner of Copenhagen Bicycles as well as a member of the Copenhagen Business Council, Code of Care Copenhagen and panel member in the P1 program Public Service. Her company received the Copenhagen Business Award in 2018 and TripAdvisor's Certificate of Excellence in 2017 and 2018. Yael believes in diversity as the way forward in companies and in the world in general. She hires people on the edge of the labor market and teaches them Danish and teaches them about our labor market. She believes in people, regardless of who they are, what they look like and where they come from. In 2015, Yael took over her father's business when he suddenly passed away. She was only 25 years old and had no experience in entrepreneurship and management. With her at the helm, the company has created a turnover increase of 25% and now has up to 30 employees and more than 2,000 bicycles, which are rented from hotels and from the store in Nyhavn, among other things. It has by no means been an easy process, and Yael Bassan has had to learn everything by trying her hand and making mistakes after mistakes after mistakes. In her inspirational lecture, Yael Bassan talks openly and honestly and with humor and a twinkle in her eye about ups and downs and shares her knowledge of entrepreneurship and management.
