Klaus Sommer Paulsen is an internationally recognized expert in combining narratives with experience design to create engaging, themed and branded experiences. His primary focus areas combine storytelling, the experience economy, creative development and technology, and how they can work together to strengthen brands, organizations and communities. Klaus has been working with storytelling and media for more than 30 years, and with strategies, concepts and design for several award-winning projects since the mid-1990s. His 2021 book "Integrated Storytelling by Design" addresses storytelling as an audience-centered design process, and is used worldwide to create story-based experiences. Klaus is an experienced speaker and facilitator who has presented and worked with brands all over the world, including the US, UK, Europe and Asia. On stage, as a speaker, he strives to present food for thought and action that is innovative, highly relevant to the audience present, inclusive and immediately applicable. As a facilitator for many years, he uses original, proven design models to anchor workshops, master classes and other participatory activities in the teams that participate. As part of his work with companies' competence development, Klaus designs and runs tailor-made programs, masterclasses and courses. He has trained professional teams and managers from names such as LEGO, Universal Creative and Walt Disney Imagineering in the same principles that he himself applies in his work. In addition, Klaus works with educational institutions to develop and present new educations, programs and courses that include new narrative formats such as modular, interactive and AI-generated narratives.
