Nicolai Chen Nielsen is an international expert in leadership development, supertrends and the organizations of the future. He works with ambitious companies of all sizes and his client list includes more than 30 Fortune 500 companies across 5 continents globally. He is a Partner at the Supertrends Institute in Zug, former Associate Partner at McKinsey & Company in Dubai and New York, and an alumni of the World Economic Forum's Global Shapers Community. He is also a lecturer and Tedx speaker.

Nicolai published his first book, Leadership At Scale in 2018, together with two senior partners from McKinsey. The book is based on hundreds of leadership development programs, new research, and input from 30 subject-matter experts from McKinsey.

Nicolai co-authored his second book, Return on Ambition: A Radical Approach to Your Achievement, Growth, and Well-Being with Nicolai Tillisch. It was published by Fast Company Press in New York in 2021 and has become an international bestseller. The book has won a gold medal in the American Benjamin Franklin Book Award 2022 and was one of five finalists for the major getAbstract International Book Award in 2022.

His third book Fremtidsklar, written together with Lars Tvede, will be published in September 2022 by Politikens Forlag. It charts the history of innovation and major supertrends – and their likely evolution in the next decade and beyond – and then describes what individuals and organizations can do to become future-ready.
Nicolai's audience appreciates that, in addition to building on the latest research within supertrends, organizational theory and psychology, he uses his personal experiences and concrete examples from reality.

Nicolai is half Danish, half Chinese, was born in Brazil, and has lived in 11 countries.

Nicolai is an optimist and believes that the future will be even more exciting and rich in opportunities compared to the world today.
