In this lecture, Michael Rasmussen will give an insight into cycling, both for good and for bad. He brings the harsh truth about the environment, and makes it possible for the audience to look at the sport in a much more nuanced way. At the age of eight, little Michael from Tølløse became seriously ill. He was struck by Yellow Fever – a legendary phenomenon. Only the greatest cyclists are affected by it, and it leaves its mark on their entire lives. Targeted, they must fight to achieve the biggest dream in life – the hunt for the yellow jersey. There is only one goal. For Michael, life was characterized by the obsession to achieve the yellow jersey, mixed with the considerations that rationally tried to speak to him. The lecture is brutally honest and Michael gives an insight into what it's like to be known for what he hasn't won, rather than what he has.
